In a "bittersweet goodbye" Facebook post to loyal customers, Owner Steve Dunn of Taco JED says this decision wasn't easy. But it's time to make family a priority.

Taco JED was completely honest with their customers and followers. They believe the time to close this chapter is now and that there is no need for a place like Taco JED any longer in Minnesota.

Between now and then, we’re going out in style—live music every weekend, special “last chance” menu items, throwback favorites, and a few surprises. We want these final weeks to be a celebration of the food, music, and community that made Taco JED so special. Thank you for every taco, every laugh, every song, and every memory under the lights. You’ve been our family.

There is some hope for Taco JED fans. Steve Dunn said there is a possibility of keeping the Taco JED food truck rolling through the streets of Rochester.

Minnesota loved the food at Taco JED, especially the breakfast menu, the creative tacos and fajitas, and the ultimate trio of chips with queso, salsa, or guacamole. But the memories are what make this local spot special.

I'm so sad. We needed a place like this ... Nothing in Rochester like Taco Jed. I wish Steve could continue his adventures and still have Taco Jed.

The JED has a special place in the hearts of the Williamson family. Both of our boys worked there. We enjoyed many tacos, margaritas, good times and good music there over the years. We are so sad!

Gonna miss playing, the great company, and of course, those tacos! So sad to see you closing. So many great memories!
