‘Spectacular’ Minnesota Singer Stuns Reba On NBC’s ‘The Voice’

The newest season of NBC's The Voice is underway, and already, a powerhouse  Minnesota country singer is taking the national stage by storm.

All the way from Kasson, Minnesota, Cori Kennedy performed in front of millions on Season 28 of The Voice. This small town girl is already making a huge impression!

Hopeful singers from across the nation auditioned in front of judges Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg, and country legend Reba McEntire. Not only did Cori Kennedy audition for the national singing competition, but Cori also couldn't believe she "got to breathe the same air as" the A-List judging panel. 

28-year-old Cori Kennedy set the tone early in her performance with the classic country hit "Why Not Me" from The Judds. Her rendition tugged on Reba's heartstrings.

Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé turned their chairs for the Minnesota singer, but what won the judges over after her performance was her bonus original song about her journey to The Voice. All judges agreed that she could have started with her original music right away!

Cori's voice reminded Reba of Tennessee, making her feel as though she were back home.

"I'm just so thrilled to be back on 'The Voice,' and to hear your voice on that stage singing...ugh it just took me back to Tennessee. Makes me homesick. Your voice is wonderful. Such power."

When Cori isn't singing, she's selling furniture at a commercial dealer. I don't think she'll be working a typical 9-5 job much longer!

So, who did Cori Kennedy pick as her coach on The Voice?

This was an easy decision for Cori. She is officially part of Team Reba!
