Several Minnesota Cities Break Record Highs For October
You probably won't be too surprised by this! Minnesota has already broken a few weather records this month - and the month is still young.
It has been quite the 'fall' so far. It really hasn't felt like fall at all with the exception of a few days in September. We have been spoiled with the weather!

We've had pretty mild winters for the past few years so maybe this is the start of a mild winter for us yet again? Or maybe winter will feel more like fall since we've barely had a fall!
The Twin Cities broke a weather record this month - and Duluth wasn't too far off! In fact, the National Weather Service of Duluth forecast "near record" weather just before the weekend on social media.
Several Minnesota Cities Break Record For Warm Temperatures
If you read up on the National Weather Service of Duluth's weather outlook through mid-October, this isn't a surprise! They shared that we would be seeing record warmth for the first part of October.

This was certainly true and it showed all across the state. The Twin Cities hit ninety-one degrees on on Saturday (October 4th), breaking the record that was cemented in 1922. That means Minnesota broke a centuries-old record. Wow!
This was also the warmest temperature recorded this late in the season. It doesn't really feel like Halloween season when it's so hot. This information was shared by the Minnesota State Climatology Office, writing:
The mercury has only reached 90 four times in October since 1872.
Other Cities In Minnesota Also Break Heat Records On Saturday
The Twin Cities might have smashed a record but they were far from alone! St. Cloud also reached the low nineties, making for yet another record. Rochester and Internationals also had record heat this weekend.
