The Minnesota State Climatology Office just shared a post on social media seeking weather observers!

In this instance, they are looking for precipitation observers, which is exactly what it sounds like. You do not need to have any previous experience and will be trained for free online.

You can apply now on the CoCoRaHS website. You have to give some basic information and own a particular type of rain gauge. If you don't have one, they provided a link for you to purchase one.

You also need to read and empty your rain gauge at the same time each day. Otherwise, you should be good to go to become a precipitation observer. Why not?!
