SmileHub released this study on Tuesday (September 30th), naming the best states for health and wellness in 2025. Many people are opting for healthier lifestyles. For example, people are drinking less and less, with a recent study showing the U.S. drinking rate has hit a new low.

In this case, analysts looked at a bunch of factors, including: how many health and wellness charities there are per capita, public health funding per capita, obesity rates, access to outdoor recreation and more.
Minnesota Named A Top State For Health & Wellness - The Fourth Best!
Minnesota did great in this study, being named the fourth best state for health and wellness. Minnesota has the fifth highest life expectancy and placed in the top ten when it comes to health and wellness charities per capita, quality of public hospital systems and outdoor activity access.

We do have access to outdoor recreation, especially in Duluth, so that checks out for sure. We are also known for a handful of really impressive and famous hospitals in Minnesota. We also have some of the most physicians per capita, coming in at number sixteen.
As for Wisconsin, it could have been worse. Wisconsin was named the fifteenth best state for health and wellness, which isn't too shabby! As for the best state in the country for health and wellness, that would be Massachusetts.
