Photos From B105 Holiday Vacations Trip To Alaska

My wife and I just returned from an amazing trip to Alaska. It's been on our bucket list for years, but we never had any idea of what to do or see. Fortunately, we found this vacation from Holiday Vacations, and they did all the planning for us. It was a busy trip, but we got the chance to experience a ton of Alaska!

Alaska & Inside Passage Cruise

We did the Alaska Inside Passage and Interior trip. We flew from Minneapolis to Seattle, Washington. We spent the first night at the DoubleTree near the airport. I would highly suggest visiting Sharp's Roast House across the street. It was the best prime rib I've ever had.

The next morning, we loaded onto a bus and drove to Vancouver, Canada. That's where we boarded the Koningsdam cruise ship operated by Holland America. The cruise was awesome! We were lucky and saw humpback whales, orcas, and harbor seals. The food was fantastic and we had some great entertainment. Seeing the inside passage of Alaska is unforgettable.

We spent some time in Juneau on our third day. The next morning, we disembarked in Skagway and took the Yukon Route Railway back into Canada. We spotted wildlife in Denali National Park, panned for gold at the Gold Dredge 8, and spotted glaciers in Prince William Sound. Check out the photos, but be warned: they don't do it justice. You have to experience it in person.

Why Holiday Vacations

If we had tried to plan a trip to Alaska and see all this stuff, we wouldn't have even known where to start. Holiday Vacations was wonderful. Our tour director, Bill, was great and took great care of us. It was so nice not to have to plan anything and just focus on having a great time. Our driver, Bart, was very knowledgeable about where to go. We didn't have any big delays, and the trip was literally smooth sailing. I can't wait to go on another adventure!
