I’d Give The Taylor Swift Concert 5 Stars [WATCH]
Let me just start out by saying I'd give the Taylor Swift concert a 5 star rating. It was truly a spectacle.
Mix 94.9 sent 200 of our closest friends to U.S. Bank Stadium on August 31st and September 1st to see Taylor Swift live. Fifty of our friends won tickets on the Mix 94.9 Voigt's fun bus. U.S. Bank Stadium itself was fun to see and tour. Before even entering the venue, it was obvious how much set building and design went into the concert because there were at least 8 semi trucks hauling all of Taylor's gear.
The opening acts, Charli XCX and Camila Cabello were true talents. I'd pay to see Camila Cabello solo. She took the stage in a Minnesota Viking's jersey with her name on the back. Her charisma pretty much won over the crowd immediately. We got to hear 'Havana', 'Never Be The Same' and she sang a cover of Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling In Love'. Cabello has a very dynamic voice and her range is diverse.
When we got to the show we received a free light up wrist band. I didn't really know what to expect from it. Taylor Swift took the stage like a true star would. Her entrance was grand going into "...Ready For It". All at once the crowd realized the wrist bands lite up in sync to the music. The lights created the illusion of a giant snake slithering through the sections of fans.
Taylor Swift had numerous outfit changes, she flew over the crowd in a basket and performed on a variety of her hits on three separate stages around the stadium. There were lights, fireworks, confetti and lots of story telling from previous tour stops in Minneapolis.
I've been to a lot of concerts in my lifetime and this one blew all of the other ones out of the water. My husband Dave wasn't a huge Taylor fan before the show and now he can't stop talking about how awesome she is.
Please, Taylor, come back to Minneapolis again soon! Your concert was amazing!
