I'm trying this not so new concept called "health" lately. I'm really trying to put a ton of vegetables and fruit into my diet. With that being said, I recently bought a bag of pears at the grocery store because they were on sale.

I've really only ever had pears from a syrup filled fruit cup. I thought it would be kind of like eating an apple. I was wrong. I definitely discovered a pet peeve of mine today!

I absolutely can't handle the texture and awkward grit of a green pear! My co-workers told me that pears are like bananas and you're supposed to let them get ripe before you eat them.

Well, I powered through it and ate one today because I didn't want to waste the whole bag of them. But, man, eating these things are hard for me to do! It feels like I'm chewing on sandpaper. I think for now on I'll just spend a couple extra bucks and get the bag of apples.
