I can't be the only person that's just itching to feel the warm sunlight kiss my skin again. So, this might be a little bit of a stretch, but I'm calling it an early sign that spring is coming.

I was doing a little shopping this week and I noticed that Sam's Club in Sartell is selling giant bags of gardening dirt. I never thought I'd be so excited to see dirt...ever. But, here I am, getting all giddy about gardening dirt!

And, the dirt wasn't just sitting on some back shelf either, it was front and center near the exit. I feel like it was their subtle way of letting us all know that gardening season is right around the corner.

I may have let out a squeal of excitement. I apologize now to the confused employee checking my receipt at the door. I was just overcome with joy.

Actually, indoor planting season isn't that far off. According to Northern Gardener, seeds can be started indoors as early as the beginning of March. That's a little more than a month away from now.

Sam's Club also started featuring some of their latest models of patio furniture. It's safe to say it was a really uplifting trip to the store this week.

By the way, The Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting we'll have a warmer, earlier and drier start to spring in Minnesota.
