Listen, I'm one of those people who keep all sorts of important documents, for years. I'm like a sensitive information hoarder. I'm always telling myself that someday I'll go buy a shredder. But, I never do.

So yes, I do have several boxes of documents that are no longer relevant in my life...but, they've got a lot of sensitive information on them.

What does a gal like me do? Well, there's an event happening in St. Paul for people just like me.

It's called the 'Shred Event' which sounds simple enough. You'll be able to bring all of your no longer needed documents with personal information on them and get them shredded and recycled properly. Your mom and dad would be so proud of you!

The event is being held by the City of Saint Paul at the Saint Paul Sports Complex on April 10th from 9 a.m. until noon.

The cool thing is, it doesn't cost anything to attend and recycle your old paper. You also don't have to be a Saint Paul resident. Nope. All you need to do is show up and Pioneer SecureShred staff will have you put your paper into a locking security container. According to the event flyer, they will then collect the material and 'transport it directly to the mobile shredding vehicle. The material is deposited directly into the shredding chamber without being touched by human hands."

Okay, how neat is that?! So, if you've got some things that need to be shredded, this is the place for you. It's also a great excuse to get a head start on your spring cleaning.

If you plan to attend, they ask you remove all paper from 3 ring binders as well as make sure there are no paper clips attached.

The sports Complex is located at 1650 Oakdale Avenue in St. Paul.
