How To Watch SCSU In The Frozen Four
Central Minnesotans are super excited for the St. Cloud State University Men's Hockey Team for making it to the Frozen Four. It's the second time in their school's history--so it's a big deal.
To celebrate, the university is hosting a watch party in the Atwood Ballroom on Thursday, April 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
However, according to their website, the event is not open to the public. It's only offered up to current students and staff. So, don't show up expecting to get into the event unless you're currently enrolled at SCSU. You will be turned away. Students are being asked to also RSVP to reserve their spot. Basically, don't just show up.
Food and drinks will be served along with prize drawing for students. All attendees are required to wear a mask, socially distance from others (the 6 feet apart rule), cover your coughs and sneezes and wash your hands.
If you're not feeling well, you're asked not to attend the event.
For folks who aren't current students at St. Cloud State here are several local establishments that have announced via social media that they will be showing the hockey game on TV. (If you know of a local bar or restaurant showing the game and they aren't mentioned here, email ashli@mix949.com to get on the list)
- Blue Line Sports Bar and Grill
- House of Pizza
For those who want to stay home and watch the game, it'll be on ESPN and ESPN2. If you don't have cable you can stream ESPN through fubo tv for free if you sign up for a temporary free trial (just make sure to cancel after the game to avoid a charge). You can also watch the game via HULU + Live TV. There's a free one week trial.
If you're not going to be near a TV, you can catch the game on our sibling station, River 96.7.
