We've all been there -- you find that someone's interested in you, but you're not interested back (or vice versa). What happens next is different for everybody.

I'd argue that an honest conversation should be had, kindly communicating to the other person know you're just not interested and letting them down as softly as you can.

Then there are people like my friend, who recently took to Facebook to publicly ask "How do you let a guy know you're not interested in him?" Turns out, he's her colleague...and he's on Facebook. I can only hope he got the hint.

I recently asked a listener how he once let a girl know he wasn't interested in her:

Have you ever had to let someone know you weren't interested in them? How'd you do it and how'd it go?

Probably the only thing harder than letting someone down was attempting to ski again after 14 years...
