Guthrie Theater Cancels ‘A Christmas Carol’ & Remaining 2020 Season
Minnesota's Guthrie Theater has announced they've canceled the remaining 2020 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which includes their beloved holiday tradition, 'A Christmas Carol'.
In a message on their website titled "A Message Of Heartbreak And Hope" they wrote, "Like many of our fellow nonprofit organizations, the Guthrie has been forced to make incredibly difficult decisions in the wake of this crisis ... after weighing countless scenarios to determine the most viable and responsible way to move forward, we are deeply saddened to announce that we must cancel the remainder of our 2019–2020 Season."
This will include all of the following shows and events;
- Emma
- Destiny of Desire
- Cabaret
- Sweat
- The Caucasian Chalk Circle
- Spotlight Cabaret
- Private Lives
- Red Hot Patriot
- The Little Prince
- A Christmas Carol
