GREAT Theatre has just announced its 2012-13 Season.

Sept. 7-16

Recommended for ages 13+

Tracy Turnblad learns about fame, racism and hairspray in this Tony Award-winning musical set in 1962 Baltimore.

The Hobbit

Oct. 12-21
At the Paramount Theatre

J.R.R. Tolkien’s tale of Bilbo Baggins the Hobbit comes to life.

Journey with him through Middle Earth and meet Gandalf the Wizard and Thorin Oakenshield.

A Christmas Carol
Nov. 24- Dec. 9
At the Paramount Theatre

By popular demand, the return of “A Christmas Carol” to celebrate the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens.  Celebrate the holidays through the conversion of Ebeneezer Scrooge.

Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

Dec. 7-16
At the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater, Saint John’s University

First grader Junie B. takes center stage in this tale of lessons learned being a Secret Santa.

Based on the best-selling Junie B. Jones books.

Jan. 11-20
At the Escher Auditorium, College of Saint Benedict

Leapin’ Lizards! Annie leaps from the funny pages and brings with her Sandy, Daddy Warbucks, Miss Hannigan, all the other orphans — and even President Roosevelt! The sun’ll come out tomorrow with Annie — bet your bottom dollar!

Charlotte’s Web

Mar. 1-10
At the Paramount Theatre

This classic E.B. White tale of friendship and love is told through this family musical set on the Zuckerman farm.

The King and I

Apr. 27- May 12
At the Paramount Theatre

You’ll be charmed by the story of a British governess who tutors the King’s children.

This musical retelling of Anna and the King of Siam has some of the most beautiful and unforgettable scores ever written.
