One Gopher football player's college graduation turned into a double celebration Friday!

In a moment caught on video, U of M graduate O.J. Smith thanked those gathered in the room for coming out to celebrate his graduation with him.

"Thank you for all you guys coming out here," he says, still dressed in his cap and gown. " [...] I'm so thankful to you guys."

With his girlfriend standing nearby, he turns to a photo shown on the TV.

"I just want to talk about this picture right here," he says, pointing to it. "It’s weird. Babe, I don’t know if you know, but I had trouble getting you this. I didn’t know if I wanted chocolate or a bear or a balloon. You were so far away from me in Florida that I just didn’t know what to get you so I got all three. But you missed one thing though..."

At this point in the video, a photo on the screen shows Smith's last Valentine's Day gift to his girlfriend.

"[the balloon] didn't say 'Happy Valentine's Day;' it said 'Will You Marry Me?'"

As he says it, the photo transitions, and the message on the balloon changes from "Happy Valentine's Day" to "Will You Marry Me?" Smith pulls out a small box and gets down on his knee.

"Wait, is this seriously happening right now?" his girlfriend asks in disbelief. She manages go get out a "Yes!" as everyone breaks into claps and cheers.

The video has since been viewed over 63k times.

Congrats to O.J Smith!
