UPDATE: Jill Biden has cancelled her trip to Minnesota. No reason was given for the cancellation, nor was there an intention of the trip given.

Dr. Jill Biden will be visiting the Minneapolis- St. Paul area on Friday, June 16th.

The White House shared that the First Lady would be visiting the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but did not share further details as to where exactly she is going, or what her purpose for visiting is. This will be her first visit as First Lady of the United States.

Both Jill and Joe Biden are no strangers to Minnesota, they both visited our state a couple of times last year when Joe was on the campaign trail.

Jill Biden's focus as First Lady is on bettering education, supporting military families, and fighting cancer. When she as Second Lady for the Obama Administration her focus was on advocating for community colleges, military families, and the education of women and girls around the world. She is a busy lady, remaining a professor of writing at Northern Virginia Community College where she also taught full time as Second Lady.

As more details come out about Dr. Jill Biden's upcoming visit to Minnesota, we will update this page.
