Family Fun Awaits at US Bank Stadium’s Winter Warm-Up

I was recently at US Bank Stadium for a Vikings Game, and I am always in awe as I walk up to that gigantic, beautiful stadium, and realize what a lovely piece of architecture it is.

I'm also amazed at how small it feels when thousands of fans are crammed inside, trying to get to concessions stands and then finding their seats for whatever event they are attending.

That gigantic space is turned into an amazing space for those who enjoy rollerblading, walking, or running during December and January.

THE WINTER WARM-UP IS HAPPENING NOW

It's called 'The Winter Warm Up' and it's underway at US Bank Stadium. If you like to join in the fun of indoor, comfortable temps for inline skating or walking/running, pick an evening that works for you from 5 to 9 pm, pack up your equipment bag, and enjoy the smooth surface that US Bank Stadium provides.

The Winter Warm-up will be taking place through January 23rd and you can reserve your time before you go, to make sure there's room for you at Ticketmaster. Tickets per person are around $14 for skaters, and walkers/runners.

There are 12 Winter Warm-Up is open to all ages 3 and up and takes place on the stadium's main and upper concourses on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

To make sure that everyone is safe while enjoying their time at The Winter Warmup, there is a capacity max each night. When purchasing your tickets, make sure you purchase either walking or skating as if you choose the wrong tickets, they will not be refunded. If you want to skate and you sign up for walking, you'll be walking unless there is room to purchase skating tickets and there is enough room.

Skating will take place on the stadium's main concourse. Open skating is from 5 until 8 pm, and speed skating takes place from 8 to 9 pm.

Some things to note: You cannot use your phone while you are skating, take photos or videos, or use earbuds or headphones; speakers or any other music accessory while skating. Strollers are also not allowed on the skating course.

If you are there for running/walking, it will be offered on the stadium's upper concourse. No strollers are allowed, and proper footwear is required for everyone. You can see a little bit about what the event is like, by watching the video below.

NO RENTAL EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE- BRING YOUR OWN

There is no equipment rental available by US Bank Stadium. You must bring your gear; so make sure to double-check your bag, (which will be searched before entry into the stadium) and make sure you didn't forget anything you'll need for the evening.
