ST. CLOUD -- A new family friendly farmers market is coming to St. Cloud.

Place of Hope Ministries is kicking off their Urban Hope Farmers Market Thursday from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Pastor Carol Jean Smith is the Director of Place of Hope Ministries. She says the grand opening event will feature plenty of activities for kids.

"We are going to have bouncy houses, free face painting, we're just going to have loads of fun that day with all the extra stuff for the kids."

The market will also have fresh fruits and vegetables, along with several homemade goods. Pastor Smith says Place of Hope will be hosting the event every Thursday through October 12. Each week, the market will feature different activities and giveaways.

"The week of 4th of July we have free small American flags to give to everybody. We're going to have one day with a petting zoo, that's on kids day July 6th."

The market will also have chef's demonstrations on how to make some popular dishes, which will include free samples.

Pastor Smith says a free sweet corn day and car show are in the works for August. Along with pumpkin carving days in October.

Every market day will be held on the corner of 9th Avenue North and 6th Street.
