Autumn’s Chill Arrives With Canadian Haze This Week
After today, Monday, September 2nd, Central Minnesota is headed for a cooldown. With the cooler weather on the way from the north, it seems we might also be seeing some haze and possible smoke from the Canadian wildfires.
How Smoky Will It Get?
According to a Canadian website that tracks the wildfire smoke, it shows that a good portion of Minnesota will see some haze, and possibly heavier haze/smoke. Central Minnesota, according to the website, should get the worst of the smoke/haze between 11pm tonight and 1-2am tomorrow, with a light haze expected to linger throughout the day.
Feeling Like Fall For The Rest Of The Week
After today, the feeling of fall starts to take hold. The National Weather Service out of the Twin Cities is forecasting that the St. Cloud area will see highs in the low to mid-60s through the end of the week, with overnight lows in the low to mid-40s.
Warmth Returns Next Week After A Seasonable Weekend
The Weather Channel's extended forecast is predicting that St. Cloud and the surrounding area will bounce back and see temperatures back in the mid to upper-70s by the second half of the week next week.

That's good news for fans of the Minnesota Vikings, as there will be a FREE outdoor concert before the Sunday Night Football game against the Falcons. Russell Dickerson will be performing in the outdoor commons, outside US Bank Stadium.
Cooler Weather Means Changing Colors?
Yes and no, it's still early for a majority of trees to begin to change the color of their foliage, but as we've seen this summer, too much rain can cause stress and color change early.
If you are looking for some fall color, you'll have to wait a little bit longer as the Minnesota DNR's fall color finder is still showing no fall color in Minnesota...so far.
