Valentine's Day isn't just for the married set.  Here are some creative ideas for getting kids in on the fun, too!

Thumbprint Heart Cookies: Get some ready made sugar cookie dough and place the cookies on an un-greased cookie sheet. Dip a thumb or index finger in an egg mixture and press each finger into the cookie at an angle to make a heart. Use colored sprinkles to add some fun and bake according to package directions.

Create a Family Photo Book: Cut heart shapes out of some red, white and pink craft paper. Find your favorite family photos and glue them down onto the paper. Have each family member decorate some pages with a memory about the photo or maybe write a funny caption. Laminate the pages for extra strength and punch holes in the paper. Tie together with ribbon or string. Makes a great coffee table book!

Valentine's Day Gifts From The Heart: Make home made Valentines and attach to heart shaped lollipops. Pass them out to Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Godparents, neighbors and friends. Click here for patterns and prints.
