Do You Know About The Adorable SJU ‘Chapel Walk’ Legend?

I didn't attend College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University as a student but I did work there a few years ago. During my time at the university, I kept hearing students talk about the legend of Chapel Trail, they called it 'the Chapel Walk'.

Chapel Trail, located on the Saint John's University campus, starts at Lake Sagatagan beach and continues around the lake to the Stella Maris Chapel. It's really a beautiful walk with lots of tree cover, wildlife, a wonderful view of the water and beautiful stone bridges along the way. If you've never taken a walk along Chapel Trail, I highly suggest it sometime--especially in the fall.

As the story goes, if you take the 'chapel walk' with someone you're dating or serious about, you'll end up marrying that person.

The first time I heard the rumor, I didn't think anything of it. But, then I heard it from several current and former students. It became obvious to me that it's a story that's been passed down over the years. When you hear the same story from multiple sources, you start to think there could be some truth to it.

Several years ago, I too took the 'Chapel Walk' with my now husband...however, we were engaged at the time so I don't think our success story counts.

None the less, if there's someone in your life that you're smitten with, perhaps consider taking the 'Chapel Walk' with them. If you're unsure of your relationship, I'd avoid the 'Chapel Walk' just in case...
