Could Central Minnesota See May Snow This Weekend?
Say it isn't SNOW. Just when we all started to think that summer was here to stay, we may have to grab out the winter coat at least one more time. The National Weather Service is predicting cold May temperatures this weekend into early next week.
Think of it as an opportunity to use the crock pot one last time this season.
The NWS is calling for several nights of subzero temperatures and frost. Friday and Saturday will both experience overnight lows of 31 degrees. The NWS says there's a 30 percent chance for snow Saturday through Sunday morning.
If you've got flowers or plants outdoors, you're advised to bring them inside if you can or cover them up at dusk. Make sure to lightly water them in the afternoon or early evening before applying your plastic coverings.
Only in Minnesota can we get a sunburn while wearing our new shorts on Monday and be freezing in our winter coats by Saturday.
