On your marks, get set, and eat wings! Walkin' Wings is returning for a 3rd year to downtown Pierz, and people are excited about it! The summer wing celebration announced the news on their social media page yesterday afternoon.

The wings contest is entering its third year, and it occurs the day before Oktoberfest.

Walkin’ Wings & MN Masters Update
We are returning for 2025
Save the date 8/23/2025
KCBS Sanctioning paperwork has been submitted, and planning has begun for the return of Walkin’ Wings and MN Masters event in 2025.
Further details will be released on this page as we go, so be sure to stay tuned!
Thank you to all of you who have been inquiring about the status! We appreciate you all and are excited to host you, and your fellow barbeque enthusiasts in our friendly little town in 2025!!

Make sure you mark August 23rd on your calendar and get to downtown Pierz for some quality wing and wingsauce tasting.

Over the last two years, the event has grown to be a Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned event, which isn't easy. Once you've been accepted as a KCBS competition, you must follow their rules, which isn't bad.

Being a sanctioned KCBS event actually attracts teams to enter, and with the Walkin' Wings contest still being relatively new, it is a great opportunity for a team on the fringe of competing at a championship event to earn enough points to get in.
