Christina Aguilera performed 'Beautiful' to honor Hurricane Sandy victims and survivors, and the Staten Island native couldn't possibly have done a better or more moving job.

Aguilera and a handful of rockers were on hand for  ‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,’ which aired on Friday night (Nov. 2). "I was born in Staten Island," Aguilera began solemnly. "Four days ago, Hurricane Sandy came through and devastated it, as it did most of the Eastern Seaboard. We've come together tonight to tell every single person who's suffering that we are here for you. We will do whatever we can to help you. We don't leave a single one of you behind," Aguilera said, "because every single one of you matters."

Aguilera then launched into a moving and utterly perfect rendition of 'Beautiful.' Sporting her neon-tipped platinum hair in a ponytail with a pouf in the front, bright purple jacket with matching lipstick and black outfit underneath, she looked the opposite of the somber occasion to which she paid tribute. Flanked only by a piano, XTina was flawless and touching, reminding survivors that they matter and will make it through the storm, literally and figuratively.

We have to hand it to the 'Voice' coach -- she was not only perfect in her delivery, but also in her song selection. While she has other anthems like 'Fighter' and other moving ballads, including 'Blank Page' from her upcoming 'Lotus,' she didn't try to promote, sell, or oversing -- she just owned it. Her heart was clearly in this performance, and we think she absolutely nailed it.
