The Bloody Mary Festival took place in the Twin Cities over the weekend and one Central Minnesota bar was looking to defend its People's Choice Award from last year. Genola's Red Rooster had a good showing, finishing up as a runner-up in two categories. Here's how the Red Rooster did in the judged and people's choice category.

The Northern Taphouse in Plymouth took home the overall judged traditional Bloody Mary, while Hell's Kitchen won the original category.

The Red Rooster took home two People's Choice runners-up awards. One of the runners-up came against Northern Tap House, which won the traditional bloody mary contest.

While they might not have taken home the top hardware again, the Bloody from the Red Rooster was still recognized as one of the best you can get, according to several People's Choice awards over the last several years.
