I'm a huge history buff! I love checking out homes and old buildings with history around town. I really appreciate old architecture and the overall vibe that some of these old homes give off. If you're in search of an old home, why not check out the 'oldest home for sale' in central Minnesota? This isn't the oldest home that exists in central MN, but it is the oldest home you can currently buy.

It was built in 1888 which makes it over 140 years old (for those of you bad at math). It's located at 1321 2nd St N in St. Cloud. The house is listed with Curtis Weiers at

Just to put into perspective how old the home is, Benjamin Harrison was elected President of the United States the year this home was new. The house was built one year before Nellie Bly went on her famous 72-day race around the world. Karl Marx, Jesse James and Charles Darwin were all alive in that same decade this house was built. Talk about history!

The City of St. Cloud was only 35 years old when this home was built. It wasn't even middle aged yet!

The home closely resembles the Gothic Revival Style which was pretty prominent the year this home was built. You can see the style influenced by the steeply pitched roof, front porch, front facing gable and dormer. Homes that fall under this style were usually made with materials like brick, and you can see this home was made with brick.

It's got 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms complete with an enclosed front porch, totaling 1664 square feet of finished space. The old style claw foot bathtub is also present in one of the bathrooms. The outside features a detached two stall garage on a quarter acre lot. Check out a gallery of the house below!
