Central MN Came Together To Celebrate Charlie’s Corner
The Grand Opening of Charlie's Corner happened on Sunday, May 17th, 2026, at the Omni Training Facility in St. Cloud.
It's amazing to see what can happen when you have a vision to help others.
It was amazing to see Charlie's Corner completed, as I remember when Erika and Jeff came to the radio station, with just a computer drawing of what they had imagined when they were deciding exactly what they should create in Charlie's honor.

They had no idea who would come forward to help with building the space, but one by one, people came together. Some financially, some with materials, some with ideas of how to make it happen.
RUFF START RESCUE
I loved that Ruff Start Rescue was also on hand with two adorable dogs looking for their forever homes. Charlie loved dogs, and his family would take in rescues. His mom said that if he could have kept them all, he would have.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place around 1:30 pm, and although the weather was expected to be 'iffy,' the day really couldn't have been more perfect for the event.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Family, friends, and supporters of Charlie's Corner came out for the day to play bags, to dunk Charlie's Dad, Jeff, in the dunk tank, to enjoy the food trucks, and to celebrate the spirit of Charlie.
I know Erika and Jeff, and their sons, are so thankful for the love everyone has shown them during the building of this incredible location, so everyone can enjoy it.
For those of you who weren't able to make it, Erika recorded a video the day of the event, which you can watch below. If you'd like to enjoy Charlie's Corner, please do, and tell all your friends about this great location that came together in the memory of a young man who had big ideas and an even bigger heart.
