Central Minnesota Events For ‘Deer Widows Weekend’

This Saturday marks the official start of firearm season in Minnesota. That means, there will be a lot of deer widows at home this weekend. If you're looking for something fun to do with your friends and family that won't be participating in deer hunting, here's a list of events to enjoy! Happy deer widows weekend!

• Ladies Night in Holdingford--you're invited to shop and dine with your friends in Holdingford on Friday, Nov. 8 at 4:30 p.m. There will be food, prizes, and more.
• Country Christmas at the Barn Pop Up--It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Berg's Country Barn in Sauk Centre. The barn will be rolling out their Christmas decor for the holiday season for the first time this weekend.
• There's a free Friday night taco bar at Midtown Bar & Grill in St. Cloud from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Purse Plus Bingo--you could win a Coach purse!. Toys for Tots will be hosting the raffle on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Mr. Jim's Bar in Foley from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Craft and Vendor Show--You can support the Sauk Rapid's VFW Post 6992 on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The money for each vendor booth will go to local veterans.
• Designer Purse Bingo--Try to win a designer purse in Monticello this Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They've got Coach, Kate Spade and Michael Kors. There's also a 50/50 raffle and food and drink specials. It's at the American Legion Post 260.
• November Pallet Party--You can craft up your own pallet sign at the Upper Deck Sports Bar & Grill in Sartell on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon.
• Avon Ladies Day--'Ladies will be on the loose' in Avon Saturday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Swag bags are available at each business with chances to win prizes and more.
• Theresa Caputo LIVE! The Experience: Theresa Caputo, star of the reality TV show Long Island Medium will be at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake on Sunday, Nov. 10.
• Deer Widows Weekend: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can pamper yourself at White Peony Boutique in St. Cloud. They'll have mimosa samples and a food truck on hand. They're partnering with the Hayloft Bar & Grill for drink specials.
• Holiday Bazaar: start your shopping a little early this holiday season at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. The Holiday Bazaar is Saturday, Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
• Deer Widow Weekend Bash: Clothes Mentor in St. Cloud is hosting a deer widow event. You're asked to RSVP. They'll provide lite appetizers while you shop.
