Celebrate Bike Safety Month On Minnesota’s Bike Trails
Now that the weather is warming up in the land of 10,000 lakes, many Minnesotans will be out on their bikes enjoying our state's bike trails and paths. That's why May is National Bike Safety month.
It's a good reminder to watch out for bicyclists and also a good reminder for bicyclists to make sure they are taking proper precautions to keep their bike ride safe.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has been working on developing a plan for two huge bike routes on Highway 14 between NEw Ulm and Nicollet and Highway 61 in Two Harbors. The project is still in it's research and study phase.
According to MnDOT, Minnesota's newest biking trail connects St. Paul to Grand Portage State Park. Basically connecting our state capitol to Canada.
