'Captain Underpants' the popular children's book series appears to have beat out the very scandalous '50 Shades of Grey' according to the American Library Association's list of the most controversial books for 2012.

The following list is comprised of the books with the most complaints from librarians, teachers, press reports and concerned individuals.

The reason being because of inappropriate content, so on that note are being asked to restrict or remove these books from the shelves. Not sure how this works with the freedom of speech act.

The Most Challenged Books from 10 to the #1 book are:

4. Fifty Shades of Grey

and the number one most controversial book

1. Captain Underpants

Should we monitor these books? Do you believe they should be removed from the shelves or maybe put a content warning sticker on them?
