The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train won't be rolling into town this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But, that doesn't mean you can't still enjoy a modified version of your holiday tradition.

In fact, the entire event is still happening, just virtually this year. On Saturday, December 12 at 7 p.m. central time there's a benefit concert with Serena Ryder, the Trews, JoJo Mason, Logan Staats and Kelly Prescott on Facebook LIVE.

The annual event typically collects food donations to help local food banks across the country. They won't be able to collect donations in-person, which is why they're asking for monetary donations during their virtual concert experience. They'll have donation instructions during the show.

If you've got kids at home that are really into trains or just the holiday season in general, this will be an event you don't want to miss. Plus, you won't have to get all dressed up in your winter gear to be there for it. That sounds pretty good to me.

They hope to get back to their normal event next year with local stops throughout the U.S.

If you're planning on tuning into the event, it'll be streaming on their Facebook page until 10 p.m. You can find a link to the event below. So, make a cup of cocoa, cuddle up on your couch and get ready to celebrate things a little differently this year.
