Move over Selena Gomez and Jennifer Lopez, there's a new double threat in town and her name is Camila Cabello.

As The Hollywood Reporter reports, the former Fifth Harmony singer is set to star as Cinderella in a retelling of the classic fairytale. The pop star is also slated to play an integral role in the musical component of the film.

Though not many details have been revealed about the project, it's slated to be directed by Kay Cannon, who got her start working 30 Rock and went on to write the Pitch Perfect movies. She made her directorial debut last year with the female-centric comedy Blockers.

The story was originally conceived by James Corden and is described as "a modern reimagining of the traditional tale of the orphaned girl with an evil stepmother, with a musical bent thrown in for good measure." The late night talk show host will also produce the project.

Although the film hasn't begun production yet, Sony has put it on the fast track to production, so hopefully we'll learn more about it sooner rather than later.
