UPDATE: Child Playing with Lighter Causes St. Cloud Apartment Fire [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD -- A fire broke out at an east side St. Cloud apartment complex this (Monday) afternoon.

The fire happened just before 4:30 p.m. at Lancaster Place apartments located at 1200 Division Street East.

Assistant Fire Marshal, Phil Schaefer says the fire was contained to one apartment unit. Schaefer says the fire was caused by a child playing with a lighter.

The fire was contained by about 5:00 p.m. The majority of the residents of the apartment complex were allowed back inside.

Schaefer says the estimated damaged caused by the fire is around $120,000.
