Blowing, Drifting Snow Making Travel Tough in Central MN [Photos]
I spent my weekend in Long Prairie with some friends. The weather was great on Saturday, not too cold, no wind, the perfect day to spend outside on the lake. Sunday was a totally different story. 30-40 mph winds covered country roads with giant snow drifts, and made travel difficult. I drove 20 minutes out of my way just to get home on roads I knew would be cleared off, and even that route brought me through some white out patches of blowing snow. This winter continues to show no mercy.
Here are some pictures from around the state I gathered from friends on social media. Stay safe on the road. And if you have pictures you want to share, send them to me here and we will add them to this post!
