A nondescript white building on the corner of a fairly busy intersection is home to some of the best steaks in Minnesota. The funny thing is, you might miss it if you aren't looking for it. Have you ever sampled a steak from Lindey's?

It sits in a residential area, so you could miss it

I grew up about 15 minutes from Lindey's Prime Steak House, which is located in Arden Hills, MN. Growing up, I always thought the white building nestled into a hillside, just steps from Lake Johanna, was a house with a big driveway. It wasn't until I was older that I figured out that the 'white house' was really a business, and a pretty successful one at that.

On the weekend (Friday & Saturday), the parking lot was always full, and you'd see satisfied people walking out, smiling ear to ear, and sometimes carrying what they couldn't finish in a take-out container.

65 Years Of Being 'The Place For Steak'

The steak house has been serving up steak the way you want it for the last 65 years. Lindey's Prime Steak House is open Monday-Saturday from 11am to 10pm, and is closed on Sundays and major holidays.

You're not going to find much other than steak on their menu, as they don't mess around, with a simple lunch and dinner menu. Come prepared for beef, salad, hash browned potatoes, and garlic bread.

Lindey's recently took home the gold in Minnesota's Best Steak House category, and it beat out some tough competition, including Murray's and Mancini's.

Lindey's also won gold in the Manhattan/Old Fashioned category, so bring your Wisconsin supper club friends and see how the Old Fashioned stacks up.

When you are all done with your meal, you can take a scenic drive around Lake Johana, or go a little bit further, and you'll be close to the Como Zoo and Conservatory.

You'll find Lindey's Prime Steak House at 3600 North Snelling Avenue, Arden Hills MN 55112
