St. Patrick's Day is finally here and good news too. There are several local events happening this year after being canceled due to COVID 19 last year.

The holiday falls on Wednesday, which isn't ideal for people who have to go to work on Thursday. But, for those of us who are still planning to hit the town this evening, the Benton County Sheriff's Office has some pretty solid advice for us that we need to take to heart.

In a hilarious meme shared on their Facebook page, they wrote, 'Don't press your luck this St. Patrick's Day. Celebrate responsibly."

The photo shows an officer with a flashlight in hand, looking at a woman who clearly had a little too much fun on St. Paddy's day.

She's wearing green and black striped pants, black heels, and a huge green leprechaun hat while the officer is conducting a field sobriety test. The woman is clearly trying to walk a straight line.

The photo's text reads, "No, this is not a line dance at O'Malley's."

At the bottom of the hilarious scene are the words, "don't rely on Irish luck this Saint Patrick's Day."

While the meme is funny and definitely entertaining, it's a great reminder to plan ahead if you plan on celebrating and make sure you've got a designated driver in place.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, central Minnesota! Celebrate responsibly.
