Benefit to be Held for a Local Long Prairie Teen
This weekend a benefit is going to be held for an acquaintance of mine from my hometown of Long Prairie. Jacob Dinkel was first diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at the age of 12 back in 2010, and unfortunately the cancer returned last September. Since that happened, Jacob and his mom have been traveling to the Mayo Clinic for his chemotherapy and radiation, and should be finishing that sometime in May.
The Dinkel's are an incredible family and the nicest people you will ever meet. If you're looking for something to do Saturday, Long Prairie isn't that far of a drive for a great cause!
The benefit will be held Saturday, March 12th from 4:30-8:30 pm at St. Mary's Church Hall in Long Prairie (address below). A free-will offering, roast beef and BBQ pork sandwich meal will be served and there will be a dinner/gun and ticket raffle as well.
Donations can also be made to the JACOB DINKEL BENEFIT account at MidCentral Federal Savings Bank.
