Well, this has to be one of the strangest stories I have heard.

The Minnesota State Fair is only less than 2 weeks away.  Two weeks from yesterday, to be exact.  The Great Minnesota Get-Together begins on August 21st and runs through Labor Day which is on September 1st.  And normally, if you are a vendor at the fair, you would be getting ready for the 12 days of the fair.

But when this happens, you are starting from square one.  Yikes!

Anna Bailey and her husband Nathanael own Bailey Builds, and were looking forward to the fair again this year until something crazy happened.  A storage company accidentally sold their shipping container that holds EVERYTHING they need for the fair!

In a post on Facebook, Anna stated that this is a story that she never thought she would have to tell.

For years, we’ve stored our custom-built building in a shipping container and paid a monthly fee to a storage company in the Twin Cities to keep it safe on their lot.
Tonight , they called us.
They told us they accidentally sold our container—because they thought it was one of theirs.
But it was ours.
With our entire State Fair building inside.
Walls, flooring, signage, lights… all the things we’ve used to show up and do what we do each year at the Fair. Gone.
And now, with just days to go before the Fair opens, we’re left with nothing. No building. No backup. No plan B.

FIRST THOUGHTS

Well, what is the storage company going to do about this?  When did it actually happen?  Whoever you sold it to - do they still have it?  Can we switch out the shipping containers and get ours back?  At least it would be a starting point.
This is crazy!!  I can't even imagine the stress that would be happening with a scramble with the beginning of the fair less than two weeks away. And they are from Duluth, so it's not very convenient. Hopefully they find a solution - like TODAY!
