Every year it's probably not a bad idea to re-educate ourselves for driving in winter.

If we're prepared we can handle most situations when needed to stay safe, yet one thing that is really important is having an emergency winter driving kit in our cars, do you have one?

According to a State farm Insurance survey, only nine percent of all drivers have an emergency kit on board.

Some suggestions for the kit include a set of jumper cables, water, most defintely a blanket, a flashlight, some rope (at least 20 feet), make sure your spare tire is in good shape and a first aid kit, probabaly wouldn't hurt to have a couple candy bars in that kit either.

A good article in the New York Daily News breaks it down as well.

Drive safe, think safe and we'll see you at your destination. I'm just saying.
