Another Home Improvement Weekend And I Lived to Tell About it
Electricity... not really my thing. That's why I'm glad I have a neighbor like Nate!
Our house is NOT brand new and the people that lived in it before us, let's just say they didn't make any improvements (that's why it came cheap to us).
Brittany and I will be in our house two-years, this July. Since moving in, we have put in a brand new furnace/ac system, new patio door, painted (twice and getting ready for the third time... it's hard to decide what colors we really like until we see them) new lighting, new kitchen faucet, a new garage door will be put on this spring and the list goes on and on...
This weekend, we continued with small upgrades that makes us feel like we're living in modern day times. It wasn't without some help, though. My neighbor, Nate, is an I.T. guy but, EXTREMELY handy when it comes to cars, houses... anything you can build, break or fix with your hands.
Nate came over on Saturday and help me install a few new light fixtures and rip out an old faucet. Let me tell you, having these small upgrades done, makes a world of difference when it comes to how you feel inside your house and the look it gives off.
Old bathroom light. (Which Nate kept... I know, right?)
New bathroom light
Old dinning room light
And the new
Old bathroom faucet
And the new
All small upgrades that makes a world of difference. Next up... more paint. Hooray.
This is Nate. Who knew the PBR drinking, tiger t-shirt wearing neighbor was the answer to all my improvement upgrades? Nate did. That's who.
This is the guy I trust with ripping apart my house... yeah.
