This year's 2020 guide features over 80 known holiday light displays including a handful around Central Minnesota.

Since 2017, Minneapolis-based professional events planner Mike Marcotte has every year compiled a list of holiday light displays around Minnesota for Minnesotans to get out and enjoy.

"Driving with your family and looking at Christmas light shows around MN is an uplifting, pandemic-safe activity! Plus, in many cases, it’s relatively inexpensive," he shared at his website GiveMeTheMike.com. Thanks to growing popularity, Marcotte's list has grown year over year. This year's 2020 Minnesota Holiday Lights Display Guide is no different, featuring a whopping 80 holiday light displays around Minnesota and into Western Wisconsin. As of writing, Marcotte's list features light displays as far away as Duluth, Albert Lea, Rochester, Eau Claire and La Crosse. His interactive map also reveals how many lights can be expected at each experience, ranging from 2,200 to 6 million.
