The winners of the Great American Beer Festival have been announced, and Annandale's Spilled Grain Brewhouse has earned itself another piece of hardware.

As far as craft beer accolades go, few are as prestigious as an award from the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) held annually in Denver, CO. This year's event just took place last week October 3-5, and four Minnesota breweries came home with medals.

Spilled Grain Brewhouse in Annandale, MN added to its ever growing collection of awards with a Silver in the Other Strong Beer category with their False Hope Wheat Wine. False Hope also won Silver in the same category last year.

Bobbing Bobber Brewing Co. in Hutchinson came home with a Gold in the Bock category with their Tackle Bock. Ursa Minor Brewing Co. in Duluth earned a Bronze in the Scottish-Style Ale category with their Thistle Dew. Barrel Theory Beer Co. in St. Paul rounded out Minnesota's four winners with a Gold medal in the Specialty Berliner Weisse category with their Midwestern Exotic.

One hundred seven categories of beer were represented by breweries from around the world at this year's GABF. For a full list of this and past year's winners, visit here.

Congrats to the four breweries representing the best of Minnesota's craft beer scene!
