American, Mexican, Mediterranean Grill to Open in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD -- A Minneapolis-based family owned restaurant is coming to St. Cloud. With its first two locations in Minneapolis, Deg Deg Grill is opening its third location in the Granite City, Saturday.

The restaurant features American, Mexican and Mediterranean foods. Owner Mariam Farah says she adds a little extra something to each dish.

"We have Mexican food, American, Mediterranean and at the same time, I'm Somali, and we love spices. So we kind of put our own twist to it and added different spices to our food."

Some of their most popular menu items include the California burrito, pineapple quesadilla, grilled hummus and gyro wrap.

Deg Deg Grill's grand opening will be on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Farah says the grand opening will give you the chance to sample the menu items for free.

"In the grand opening we want to introduce people to the food, even though we do have a lot of customers from St. Cloud that come to our Minneapolis locations. We will be offering free food for the first few hours for customers."
