I had a whirlwind weekend that involved almost 9 hours of windshield time in less than four days. Here is what I was up to!

Thursday Afternoon:

My boyfriend and I took his sister down to Rochester for Together We Dance Nationals Just For Kix competition. His sister had to be at the Rochester Civic Center at 7 am the next morning so we went down the night before. It allowed us the chance to catch up with some friends which was really nice. After the 2.5 hour drive, cold drinks were welcome.

Friday Morning:

7 am was the call time for a long day of dance competition. Long Prairie first competed in Hip-Hop and got second place. They then moved on to Hip-Hop showcase around 10 am.

Friday Afternoon:

There was a break in the action and we got to walk around Downtown Rochester for a couple hours. Pete Hanson recommended a taco place for lunch (which was awesome!) and the fresh air felt great.

Long Prairie then competed in the kick showcase competition and unfortunately didn't make it to finals. It was then back on the road for 2.5 hours home to St. Cloud.

Saturday:

Wake up, get ready, and head back down to Minneapolis for the I Love the 90's Bar Bash. We did a bar crawl with a big group of friends in our finest 90's gear. A night of slap bracelets and scrunchies. So much fun!

Sunday:

Back in the car, and back up to St. Cloud. Start laundry, and get in the car AGAIN, and head up to Long Prairie to get my dog from my parents. Then drive another hour back to St. Cloud. But it was great to have my dog back.

Overall it was a great weekend! Lots of time on the road makes me grateful to only have a few miles to commute to work every day.
