Hundreds of mourners gathered yesterday (11/2) afternoon in Collegville to say goodbye to Bobby Vee. The services were held at St. John's Abbey Church with Father Greg Miller officiating. Highlights of the service included a beautiful acoustic version of Vee's number one hit "Take Good Care Of My Baby," Brian Setzer's performance of "Sleepwalk," and the Brian Hyland cover of a Bob Dylan classic "Every Grain of Sand."

Bobby's cousin Harold (Hal) Velline eulogized the pop icon with stories about his humble upbringing outside Fargo, North Dakota. He also read a quote from his famous cousin "If when your life is over...you can smile at where you've been, you've accomplished all that matters in the end..." Mission accomplished Robert Thomas Velline. Rest Easy.
