90’s One Hit Wonders, Part One – Kris Kross, “Jump” [VIDEOS]

Teenage Hip-Hop duo Kris Kross was made up of Chris Kelly ("Mac Daddy") and Chris ("Daddy Mac") Smith. The two 13 year olds were discovered by 18-year-old Jermaine Dupri in an Atlanta mall. Chris Kelly recently passed away from an apparent drug overdose. Jermaine Dupri wrote the song "Jump" which turned out to be a hit for Kris Kross topping the Hot 100 for eight weeks, sold four million copies. The song happened to be their first and most successful song they recorded.

It was the fastest selling single the US had seen for 15 years and also reached #1 on the charts in Australia and New Zealand, and #2 in the United Kingdom.
