SAUK RAPIDS - Four people were hurt in a two vehicle crash on Highway 23 in Benton County.  The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Minden Township, east of Sauk Rapids.

A vehicle driven by 87-year-old Jeanette Smoley of Watkins was westbound on Highway 23 and was attempting to make a left turn to go eastbound on Highway 95. Smoley did not stop for the red light, and pulled in front of the east bound vehicle on Highway 23 driven by 22-year-old Raya Myers of St. Cloud.

Smoley and her passenger, 90-year-old Leroy Smoley of Watkins, were both taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Myers and her passenger, nine-year-old Isaiah Martin of St. Cloud, were also taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
