Sartell is celebrating its 111th birthday this weekend, and it got me wondering how old some other Central Minnesota cities are. Here are 10 towns around our area and how old they turned in 2018!

Sauk Rapids - First house built in 1851 - 167 years old
Waite Park - Incorporated in 1893 - 125 years old
St. Joseph - Town laid out in 1855 - 163 years old
Cold Spring - Platted in 1856 - 162 years old
St. Augusta - Named in the 1850's after a church, but incorporated in 2000 - So between 168 and 18 years old....
Foley - Post Office established in 1883 - 135 years old
Avon - Laid out in 1873 - 145 years old
Rice - Officially incorporated within Benton County, on July 18, 1890, as a farming community - 128 years old
