WATERTOWN -- Carver County authorities say two people are dead and a third critically injured after a house fire southwest of Minneapolis.

Sheriff's deputies and Watertown firefighters arrived at the home in Watertown Township early Saturday and found it engulfed in flames. After putting out the fire, firefighters found the bodies of two people inside the house. Authorities say a third victim was found outside the house and had suffered "significant injuries." The burn victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Names of the victims were not immediately released. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office is helping investigate the fire.
