NOW I KNOW WHY I'M MISSING THE BOAT

Oh!  Now I know The REST OF THE STORY!  I'm not lazier or more inactive than most people on the planet. Most people just LIE about working out.

LYING? WHO?

A new survey found that one in three people LIE to their friends and coworkers about their workout routines. Like yesterday, my Aunt Marlene and I actually walked 7 miles. Seriously! We really did! But if I lied I could have said, "Yeah...My Aunt and I walked 14 miles yesterday! It was so great!"

In all reality, I'm pretty darn proud of walking 7 miles yesterday...of course...I've been a slacker for the three days leading up to our big walk, due to cold rainy weather. (Not that it should be an excuse...but...it's mine.)

NO ONE REALLY CARES ABOUT YOUR WORKOUT...SO WHY LIE?

The survey found that people usually lie about the following:

  • When asked how far they ran or walked, the average person adds an additional 1.25 miles to their workout that never really happened.
  • 20% of people lie about being sore to make it sound like they worked out harder than they really did.
  • 25% of people have actually brought a gym bag to work, without having any plans of going to the gym. But hey...it looks good right?

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CARE

For those of you seriously trying to get a workout in, and you find the time to do it with your busy life...you complain when you really hurt...and you are hard on yourself when you REALLY miss your workout...HATS OFF TO YOU...The real....living...hardworking..want to be in shape but can't always be perfect people....I'm with you.. All the way!
